About
Institutional discipline applied to private real estate.
Dwell Logic Investing Inc. is a Western Canadian real estate investment firm that raises capital from accredited high-net-worth investors and institutional partners to acquire, upgrade, and optimize commercial and multi-family real estate. We operate as a working investor first and an advisor second — the strategies we recommend to capital partners are the same ones we use on our own balance sheet.
The firm is active throughout Western Canada. Our focus is value-add commercial and multi-family acquisitions — properties that are mispriced, under-managed, or under-capitalized at the time of acquisition, where targeted renovation and operational improvement can force appreciation and stabilize cash flow.
Capital partnerships are structured as joint ventures or equity arrangements with terms that prioritize investor protection. Investor capital is repayable in full at the time of disposition or refinance before Dwell Logic takes any profit distribution. Partners are paid before the principal.
Dwell Logic also provides advisory and consulting services for investors, family offices, and other operators on acquisitions, repositioning strategy, market entry, and portfolio underwriting — typically on an hourly basis without retainers or productized programs.
More recently, the firm has extended that consulting practice into artificial intelligence. After rebuilding Dwell Logic's own operations around AI — roughly a tenfold gain in the principal's personal productivity — the firm began advising other small and medium-sized businesses on AI strategy, implementation, and training, a practice that has grown entirely by referral.
The principal
Matt Landsborough.
Matt began acquiring rental real estate on Vancouver Island while working as a forest engineer for one of North America's largest forestry companies. In 2019 he left his corporate career in forestry to operate Dwell Logic full-time.
Matt holds multiple university degrees: he studied forest science and wildlife biology at Lakehead University and business administration, urban land economics, and real estate appraisal at the graduate level at the University of British Columbia's Sauder School of Business.
Matt was an early and aggressive adopter of AI in his own operations, rebuilding the firm's underwriting, analysis, and administration around it — and he now advises other business owners and professionals on doing the same.
An avid outdoorsman, Matt lives in Manitoba and travels often for both work and pleasure throughout the four western provinces.
